Does DominateDebt charge me anything?
No. Our service is free to you. Partner companies pay us when we introduce you. If you enroll with a partner, they will disclose their own fees before you sign, and they may not charge fees until they settle a debt.
Are you a debt settlement company?
No. We are an independent marketing and matching service. We do not negotiate with creditors, give legal or tax advice, or repair credit.
Who will contact me?
Only TurboDebt and its partners named in the consent box (also listed on our Marketing Partner List), and only if you check the box. Texts are capped at 2 per day and 7 per week. We do not sell your information to a long list of unnamed buyers.
Will this hurt my credit?
Submitting our form does not involve a hard credit pull. Enrolling in a debt settlement program, however, will likely lower your credit score during the program.
Is this a government program?
No. We are not affiliated with any government agency. Be wary of anyone who says debt relief is a government program.
How do I stop calls or texts?
Reply STOP to any text, tell the caller to stop, or email dnc@dominatedebt.com. See our Do Not Call Policy.
Can I be sued during a settlement program?
Yes. Creditors can continue collection efforts, including lawsuits, while you save funds. Ask any company how they handle that risk.
Is settled debt taxable?
It may be. The IRS generally treats canceled debt over $600 as income, reported on Form 1099-C, unless an exclusion such as insolvency applies. Talk to a tax professional.
